Some time back I blogged about a case where my article was being plagiarized by another blogger. I spoke about how the Writers' Guild at Orkut was helping me fight this out, how they had written to Google on my behalf and were posting comments requesting the blogger to either remove the post or accredit it to the right author (that's me).
Today, I checked the link again and found that not just that particular post but the entire blog had been removed. I have been wondering if this was due to action taken by Google or because of the repeated requests by members of the Writers' Guild. I am thankful to everybody at the Writers' Guild who took up my cause and fought for it as if it was their own problem. Thanks all!
Wake up and realize that plagiarism is a serious issue in the writing world. A great writing career can be doomed by just one case of plagiarism. Remember the partly plagiarized How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild, and Got a Life by Kaavya Vishwanathan?
